In Snapshots in Oil, she presents a collection of paintings inspired by the glow of sunlight on Narragansett Bay, the serenity of winding Irish roads, and intimate glimpses of her hometown, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Each work, crafted with rich oil paints, reflects a moment that stopped her in its tracks—a snapshot of life reimagined through vibrant hues and expressive brushwork. As Michelle shares in her artist statement, painting is her “Thing”—a deeply personal pursuit that grounds her and invites viewers to connect with the joy and peace she finds in her craft. At the opening reception, attendees can meet Michelle, hear about her creative process, and explore the stories behind her luminous paintings.
