True Grit Art Gallery is thrilled to present Poems of Light, a solo exhibit featuring over 50 works of fine art photography by Lakeville, MA artist Gan Barber. Join us for an opening reception on Saturday, May 10, from 6-8 PM at our downtown gallery located at 38 Center St. in Middleboro, where guests can meet Gan, enjoy adult refreshments, and immerse themselves in his luminous, nature-inspired works. This exhibit will run from its opening night through the end of the month. Gan Barber, a Lakeville-based artist, transforms the beauty of natural landscapes into vibrant, living compositions through his lens. Each photograph in Poems of Light is meticulously crafted and printed on luxurious 100% cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks, showcasing delicate pastels, rich palettes, and dynamic black-and-white tones. Guided by intuition, Gan captures the mysteries of nature—hills, meadows, woods, trees, water, and the ever-changing drama of clouds and light. His work, as he describes, is a “poem of light,” inviting viewers to pause and discover the sublime in the ordinary, from delicate flora to sweeping ocean vistas. At the opening reception, attendees can engage with Gan to learn about his creative process and the stories behind his evocative images. Adult refreshments will enhance the relaxed atmosphere, perfect for connecting with Middleboro’s growing art community. Poems of Light celebrates the emotional depth of fine art photography, offering a moment of natural wonder in every frame. True Grit Art Gallery, located at 38 Center St, Middleboro, MA, is committed to showcasing thought-provoking art in our small-town community.
