'Plein Air Expressions'— paintings by Obie Miller, Oct 4 through Oct 25

  True Grit Art Gallery is thrilled to announce Plein Air Expressions, a solo exhibition featuring the vibrant outdoor paintings of Holliston, MA artist Obie Miller. Beginning with an opening reception on Saturday, October 4, from 6 to 8 PM and running through October 25, this exhibit showcases Miller’s transformative approach to capturing nature’s essence through his en plein air technique.

 Miller’s work embodies the spirit of outdoor painting, where he immerses himself in the environment, letting nature guide his brush. His pieces, completed in one to three-hour sessions, reflect a deep connection to place, marked by struggle and perseverance. With influences from his early studies and a reverence for the visible traces of his efforts, Miller invites viewers to step closer to life’s truth and meaning through his art.

  At the opening reception, attendees can meet Miller, hear about his creative process, and explore the stories behind his uniquely animated works. Adult refreshments will create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for engaging with Middleboro’s thriving art community. Plein Air Expressions celebrates the power of art to infuse vitality into static form, offering viewers a window into the artist’s vivid perception of the everyday world.

​ True Grit Art Gallery, located at 38 Center St, Middleboro, MA, is dedicated to showcasing inspiring art in our southeastern Massachusetts community. The exhibit runs from its opening night through October 25, with regular hours on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 4 PM, Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM. Admission is free, and all are welcome to the opening reception on October 4.
