"As an artist I am inspired by the world around me. My subject matter ranges from nature, people and places to fanciful images created in my imagination.
I’ve often said that the piece will tell me what to do which is why I like working with acrylics paints. The intensity of color and ability to change the direction of the piece as the mood and natural flow of the work dictates is very appealing to me. I also work with pencils, ink, watercolor, pastels and will mix mediums on canvas, paper and other materials. Whatever I feel will best represent the story I am trying to tell or feeling I wish to convey.
Whether the painting is an image that exists only in my imagination or an interpretation of the colors and beauty I see along the way, my art is a combination of free association and real life inspiration."
