I have been working as a fulltime artist for five years since retiring from teaching. I enjoy working in various mediums, that includes watercolor, acrylics and alcohol inks. My work is inspired by the natural environment and I use photos I’ve taken and memories from being outdoors in nature in my works.
This piece I started during this Covid virus shut in. As a high risk person, I couldn’t leave my home, so I found solace in painting.
Under the Corona Sea is painted using acrylic dotting technique. While painting I imagined being a sea creature and having the joyful freedom of movement under the ocean that we no longer have here on land.
