During quarantine, I was still working as I am considered "essential" but the stress of not knowing what was going to happen, if I was exposed, if I was doing the right thing, was giving me anxiety I never expected life could change in an instant as it did. One of my favorite past times I could still do, hiking our great walk spots throughout the area. I stumbled upon a patch of reeds that edged a marsh out in Westport. Each time I visited I would watch the green grow up to the sun, reaching towards the opening in the path. Early summer I saw with delight that the morning glories were growing wild, using the reeds as stilts. Nature teaches us to be resilient, to reach for nourishment, to stay true to who we are.
