My interest in art manifested itself very early. I've been painting as long as I remember myself.
Being a classically trained artist with many hours of painting en Plein Air and from real life I
continue academic tradition in my own work. After working for about a decade as a professional
graphic designer I started my career in fine art and has been working in this field for the past 18
years. As a representational painter, I try to capture the momentum and depict the physical
appearance of reality reflecting my own personal vision, expressed through the harmony of
design, color and light. Color and interaction between light and dark are two major things I
emphasize in my own work of any subject. Whenever I paint, I try to make people see the
ordinary in a new perspective, reminding that beauty is all around. People find that my paintings
'can evoke feelings of calm happiness', 'light up the room', and 'enable us to stop and
appreciate a view we may see everyday'.
