There’s something about trees that speaks to me.
The few times I ventured out during the shelter-in-place mandate, I happened across trees that
represented the phase of this pandemic my state was in.
On a foggy morning, I came across this lone tree ('Solitaire'), truly a picture of the isolation and
aloneness many of us felt.
I think trees, in some ways, reflect some of our human experiences. They are resilient, adapting
to their environment (I dare say, much better than we humans), but nevertheless adapting.
Their branches display their bending, accommodating whatever the climate dishes out. And year
after year, though maybe scarred, they continue to grow and do what they were created to do,
just as are we.
