Alison DeArruda- "Since earning my degree in Illustration from UMass Dartmouth in 2013, I’ve taken more of a fine art approach with my work while still incorporating some illustrative qualities. I paint an array of subject matter including landscapes, sea life, the human form, and introspective abstract pieces. My creative goal is to intuitively observe life and to capture the essence of the moment." Michael Zimmermann- "Making art brings me satisfaction, enjoyment, and a sense of vocation; it's something that centers me. I'm a fan of painterly realism. Favorite artists are too many to say, but Chardin, Wayne Thibeault and other great still-life painters inspire me. I am currently following Sherrie McGraw and David Leffel on their livestream, and Paul Foxton on his blog. Lately I've been dropping in on local teachers."
